MILLENIUM PARK PICKLEBALL RULES AND REGULATIONS

Millenium Park Pickleball Rules and Regulations:
- Appropriate tennis shoes or soft soled, non-marking athletic shoes only.
- Food or glass containers are not permitted inside the court area. Water is the only liquid permitted on the courts.
- Alcohol, smoking/vaping, chewing tobacco, and chewing gum are prohibited on the courts.
- Players are responsible for cleaning up after themselves. Please remove all trash and personal items prior to leaving the court area.
- Profanity of any manner is strictly prohibited.
- Unsportsmanlike conduct will not be tolerated.
- Chalk, tape, or paint is not permitted on the courts.
- Chairs, skateboards, scooters, bicycles, rollerblades, skates, or other items that will mark or damage the court floor, are prohibited.
- Pets are not permitted to be inside the pickleball court area.
- No outside individual/group lesson/instruction or organized play allowed unless prior authorization from the Bethel Park Municipality.
- The courts are for the use of pickleball equipment or equivalent only.
Reservation Rules
- A one-hour, one-court reservation on courts 1-5 can be made via RecDesk software Monday through Sunday 8am-9pm.
- One reservation per player per day is permitted.
- Reservations are $5 per hour per court and $15 per hour per court for non-residents.
- Reservations must be made 5 days in advance.
- Reservations can be made 14 days out at a time.
- Reserved court times take precedence over free play on the five reservable courts.
- Checking the reservation schedule and bringing proof of your reservation receipt/permit is encouraged.
- If a patron does not show up for their reservation after 15 minutes, the reservation no longer stands, and the court can be used as free/drop-in play.
- If reservable courts are not being reserved, free/drop-in play is permitted.
- All reservations are non-refundable. Rain dates are not permitted.
Free/Drop-In Play Rules
- During Free/Drop-In Play (mixed skill levels) players play with all skill levels. Courts are not designated during this time by rating or skill level. Good sportsmanship is the rule.
- If players are waiting, please limit free/drop-in play to one game to 11.
WHEN PEOPLE ARE WAITING, THE FOLLOWING RULES APPLY:
- PLAYER/PADDLE ROTATION METHOD WILL BE USED
- Waiting players should place their paddles along the bottom of the fence to indicate they are waiting.
- Games will be played to 11 win by 2.
- Winners of the first game will remain on the court, and the losers will exit the court and place their paddles at the end of the paddle lineup.
- The next two players from the paddle lineup will then enter the court to play
- Players play a maximum of 2 consecutive games, and then will exit the courts and place their paddles at the end of the paddle lineup.
- The rotation will continue with 2 players on 2 players off for ALL free/drop-in play.
*Failure to follow the rules or damage Bethel Park Municipality property or equipment could result in loss of court and/or membership privileges.
