Bethel Park Military Banner Program
The Military Banner Program salutes our brave men and women currently serving and Veterans who have served in the military by creating and displaying a 24” x 36” military banner to be exhibited in Bethel Park between Memorial Day and Veterans Day each year. The veteran must be a resident of BP, have grown up here or have family currently residing here. Applications are accepted at any time. However, the deadline to submit for the current year’s display is Friday, March 31, 2023. Applications received after this date will be displayed starting in 2024. Your personal banners are usually delivered within 45 days of submission.
The $125 cost to join the program includes:
1 – 24” x 36” Double-sided (2 Veterans shown) Military Banner for Municipal Display
1 – 24” x 36” Military Banner or Two 12” x 18” banners for personal display
1 – New bracket and mounting hardware to hold the banner while displayed
1 – Web presence on www.troopbanners.com and American Legion Post 760 website
The typical life span of banners is 4 to 5 years. However, over time extreme heat, wind, and rain may cause them to crack, rip or fade. There is a $60 cost to replace an existing Display Banner.

The Russell Kurtz Memorial Fund
If you are a Bethel Park resident, current or past, and have been hit by recent financial difficulties, your ability to pay will not restrict our salute to you. The Russell Kurtz Memorial Fund was put in place to provide a free single banner with brackets and strapping for public display to those that cannot afford the program. Check the Russell Kurtz Memorial Fund box, RKMF, for a single free display banner.

Bethel Park Veterans Memorial
The Bethel Park Veterans Memorial was established to pay tribute to the men and women from Bethel Park who served our country in the Armed Forces. It is prominently displayed in front of the Bethel Park Municipal Building. The two original monuments were dedicated on October 30, 1999, with additional monuments placed in 2005.
Engraving on the monument or on granite pavers is available. Click the button below to order. Orders must be received by April 1st of each year to be included in that year’s engravings. Orders received after April 1st will be included in the following year’s engravings.
Veterans Memorial Donation
The Veterans Memorial relies on donations for the maintenance and upkeep of the plaza. This includes flags, landscaping, and engraving for those who cannot afford it. Please consider a donation to the Veterans Memorial fund. Your donation is fully tax deductible.
