Join the Bethel Park Police Department for National Night Out on Aug. 4!
Plan to Attend...New Location this Year!
The Bethel Park Police Department’s annual National Night Out will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 6-8 p.m. at the Park Avenue Playground parking lot adjacent to the Bethel Park Community Center (5151 Park Ave.). This is a new location for the event.
“National Night Out is our favorite event of the year because it gives us the opportunity to connect with our community outside of emergency situations,” said Bethel Park Police Department Community Resource Officer Amber Carruba.
This year’s event will feature great music from the Pittsburgh DJ truck, free snacks from Beedles Ice Cream truck, face painting, a visit from the Pirate Parrot, many local organizations and emergency response vehicles, search-and-rescue dogs from the Allegheny Mountain Rescue Group, and a flyover from the State Police helicopter.
Attendees can also receive a free child ID kit (while supplies last) and a free raffle ticket for a chance to win great prizes!
“Some of our most important work happens when we’re simply talking with our neighbors and showing the human side of policing,” added Carruba. “This is a new venue for us this year, and we are very excited to watch this event grow for years to come.”
