In an effort to help its local business community obtain a robust workforce, the Municipality of Bethel Park in cooperation with the Bethel Park Chamber of Commerce will be holding a FREE Job Fair on Saturday, Sept. 14 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. at the Bethel Park Community Center located at 5151 Park Ave., Bethel Park 15102.

“We’re extremely happy to continue offering this outstanding event where we help both our residents and business owners,” said Bethel Park Manager Kristen Denne. “This is a great opportunity for all generations and job skill sets to explore the various opportunities that are available locally.”

The Job Fair is free to attend for both employers and job seekers.

“Our business community has a lot of open positions, and this is a great opportunity for everyone, but particularly Bethel Park residents, to find a job. We’re also hoping to attract many seasonal positions and match them with individuals seeking that type of work with the holiday season coming soon,” said Bethel Park Council President John Oakes.

“We’re currently accepting employers,” said Bethel Park Chamber Executive Director Connie Ruhl. “However, space is limited, so I’d encourage them to sign up soon!”

For job seekers, a variety of free resources will be available including resume assistance, advice on setting up LinkedIn profiles, job search techniques, Interviewing tips, signups for free Bethel Park Library computer courses, and more!

The Job Fair Steering Committee includes those from local businesses, Municipal officials and staff, the Bethel Park Chamber, and Bethel Park Library.

“It’s important to keep our business community healthy,” said Job Fair Team Member and President & CEO of Vericheck Technical Services, Inc. Tim Moury. “It’s been a struggle for businesses today to get and keep employees, so this is a perfect marriage of helping Bethel Park people find Bethel Park jobs,”

“The last Job Fair was held on a Saturday as well, but we’ve changed the start time to be later in the day in response to feedback we received,” said Oakes. “Bring your resumes and be prepared to interview!”
