Celebrating 20 Years of Local Food, Community, and Creativity

In 2026, the Bethel Park Farmers’ Market turns 20—and we want to celebrate the neighbors, growers, and artists who make it special. From fresh-picked produce to local music and shared conversations, the market has grown into a hub for connection, food access, and hometown pride.

Now, we’re inviting you to help design our next reusable market tote—our most popular item of the season.

The winning design will be featured on thousands of market totes and seen throughout the region next summer.

We welcome submissions from anyone, but especially encourage local artists, students, and Bethel Park community members to participate.

The winning design will be selected by a panel of local judges in early 2026.

How to Enter

  • Send your design (or a clear image of it) to: farmersmarket@bethelparkpa.gov
  • Use the subject line: Tote Design Contest
  • Deadline to submit: Friday, January 9, 2026
  • If your design is chosen, we’ll work with you and our printer to ensure it meets production requirements.

Artwork Guidelines

To ensure your design can be printed on our tote bags, please follow these specifications:

  • The minimum line thickness should be 0.012 inches
  • Less complex designs are preferred
  • Avoid tiny or intricate elements, which can bleed on the bag material
  • Max print size is 10” wide x 8” high
  • Designs must be one color only
  • You may suggest the bag color, but we maintain the right to select one that complements the artwork and our budget
  • The final design will include the Bethel Park Farmers’ Market logo and the Bethel Park Community Foundation logo
  • Preferred file formats: AI, EPS, or PDF with all fonts outlined
  • If your file is not in a print-ready format, we may need to convert or adjust it (redesign fees may apply if selected artwork is unusable as-is)

The Municipality of Bethel Park has once again received the “Banner Community” designation for 2026 from the Allegheny League of Municipalities (ALOM). “We are honored to once again be recognized as a Banner Community,” said Bethel Park Manager Kristen Denne. “This designation reflects the dedication of our elected officials, staff and community partners who work together to make Bethel Park an outstanding place to live, work and visit." The Banner Community designation honors municipalities and authorities that distinguish themselves as model communities through a variety of sustainable practices. These practices include professional development, intergovernmental cooperation, sound fiscal management and proactive communications to engage community stakeholders. “Congratulations on your designation this year and for your dedication to good government,” said ALOM Associate Director Crystal Sickles. Bethel Park has received the designation each year since 2014.
