Bethel Park Municipality to Hold Tree Lighting TONIGHT! (Weds., Dec. 4)

 

The public is invited to join the Municipality of Bethel Park for their annual Tree lighting Celebration TONIGHT (Wednesday, Dec. 4) at the Bethel Park Community Center (5151 Park Ave., Bethel Park, 15102) from 6-8 p.m.


The event will feature a festive evening of music, refreshments and fun!


Highlights include musical performances from the Bethel Park School District (BPSD) Jazz Ensemble and Top 21 Choir, a special visit from the Grinch, a Lego Christmas Village and train display courtesy of Steel City LUG, Buddy the Elf Snowball Fight Station, a reindeer food bar, hot cocoa and cookies (partially supplied by Bethel Bakery), a display of gingerbread competition winners, a seasonal scavenger hunt, a sensory station, and of course…a visit from Santa Claus who will light the Christmas tree!

Bethel Park Mayor Jack Allen will provide an event welcome. 


The event schedule follows:

  • 6:15 – 6:45 p.m.                BPSD Jazz Ensemble
  • 6:45 p.m.                           Welcome from Bethel Park Mayor Jack Allen
  • 6:50 p.m.                           BPSD Top 21 Performance
  • 7 p.m.                                 Santa Arrives
  • 7:15 p.m.                             Tree Lighting

The event is free to attend!

Please note that live and artificial Christmas trees can be placed at the curb for Bulk Pickup only (the first-full week of the month – beginning Jan. 5 th ). Live trees must be cut into 4 ft. sections in order to get them in the truck. Thanks for your kind attention and have a Happy New Year!
